Ireland: a journey
This web application was created for a dissertation which I undertook as part of a Masters in Applied Digital Media. It is an interactive, animated website representing a tour of Ireland, where users can explore multiple tourist attractions around the island, using various media content such as virtual tours, 360 content, and area specific information.
Once the user enters the website, they embark on their journey to explore Ireland. Users can either simply scroll through each location linearly or choose a location of their choice. Fourteen tourist locations were chosen in total, four of those featuring exclusive media content, completing a full circuit of the island of Ireland.
The website is designed to be as unique as possible, taking inspiration from research undertaken and modern web design, with a lot of time given to aesthetic features and functionality such as the animated location avatars, the map on the right side of the screen, and the Tayto Park interactive map.
